When they are using such words, they think they \u201ccomprehend\u201d what they are saying, and what\u2019s more surprising, they hope other people understand them as well! In reality other people as a rule understand only slightly or absolutely different when hearing the same words or do not understand anything at all. For example, how can you understand a phrase \u201cit will be better, if\u2026\u201d or \u201cthere is nothing bad about it\u2026\u201d? Ask other people to rephrase these sentences and when comparing you will easily discover that everybody means one thing of his own understanding today, and tomorrow it will be something different.<\/p>\n<p>As a result there is no possibility of achieving intellectual clarity and understanding, and in this condition happy wishes do not reveal and mechanical wishes intensify.<\/p>\n<p>It is necessary to be aware that there is such a mechanism of substituting automatically every vague word with a word-concept, like \u201cthis decision is not constructive\u201d is substituted with \u201cthis is a bad decision\u201d or \u201cit is unfair\u201d with \u201cthis is bad behavior, you must not\u201d. It always happens if the meaning of the word in use is not understood distinctly, or, as it VERY often happens, the meaning is not known at all. If we take the speech of an ordinary person and select the words that he cannot clearly identify, then upon replacing them with their automatic substitutions we will receive terribly plain vocabulary which is 99% full of word-parasites and concepts.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile it is not too difficult to give certain definitions to some words. For this you have to distinguish what you (or other people that aspire to differentiate perceptions and be aware of them) experience most often when doing what is designated by a certain word.<\/p>\n<p>The list of such definitions is given below. Try to use the words from this list EXACTLY in the meaning they have been given and see if your ability of rational clarity is improving and your happy wishes and EPs start revealing, if the investigation process is getting easier and the number of your discoveries is growing.<\/p>\n<p>At first you will quite often stutter, forget meanings, look into the dictionary, but with time these difficulties will disappear and more and more often the clarity emerge will resonating with the image of crystal transparent mountainous stream.<\/p>\n<p>This list will be extended continually.<\/p>\n<p>(The search of a word in Word or html is possible if you use keys \u201cCtrl+F\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>* * * * * * * * * *<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Perceptions<\/b>\u201d \u2013 this is all that exists, what we are talking about, that \u201cthis is perceived\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>The five skandhas<\/b>\u201d = \u201c<b>five components of individual experience<\/b>\u201d &#8211;\u00a0 sensations [physical] (visual, taste, tactile, hearing, odor, sexual, etc.), emotions (negative and positive), thoughts, wishes, differentiation.<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Negative emotions<\/b>\u201d (<b>NEs<\/b>) \u2013 such emotions that have the following characteristics:<\/p>\n<p>1) they cause dullness (rapid decrease of ability and the volition to differentiate perceptions);<\/p>\n<p>2) they cause you to feel not well;<\/p>\n<p>3) they cause a loss of interest, anticipation, enthusiasm and other EPs and happy wishes;<\/p>\n<p>4) they are incompatible with clear rational thinking;<\/p>\n<p>5) they are incompatible with EPs;<\/p>\n<p>6) when you are in the power of NEs you are like a programmed robot; your reactions and behavior are predictable; your actions are most ineffective;<\/p>\n<p>7) it is nearly impossible to escape from the flow of NEs if you are not determined and persistent in your practice. Even if you want to stop experiencing NEs in some situations, it will not happen due to the power of the NEs which are in a deeply consolidated pattern.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Examples of naming different NEs: jealousy, self-pity, fear, rage, irritation, dissatisfaction, offence, fury, perplexity, insult, anger, envy, anxiety, worry, contempt, disgust, shame, revenge, sadness, depression and disappointment).<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Positive emotions<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>PEs<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 characteristics:<\/p>\n<p>1) they are a mirror reflecting contrast to the NEs: envy &#8211; malevolence, dissatisfaction &#8211; satisfaction, feeling of inferiority (\u201c<b>FOI<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 feeling of self-importance (\u201c<b>FSI<\/b>\u201d), anxiety \u2013 spiritless comfort and dullness, bitterness of loss \u2013 joy of victory, sadness of solitude \u2013 soppy friendliness, ingratiating and so on;<\/p>\n<p>2) they cause tiredness, exhaustion and indifference;<\/p>\n<p>3) they cause you not to feel well, though it is not as obvious as caused by NEs;<\/p>\n<p>4) while you are in the power of PEs there is a fear they will disappear and NEs emerge;<\/p>\n<p>5) they are 100% incompatible with EPs with the exception of the situation when PE balances the corresponding NEs and in that clearing there may be a flash of EP echoes;<\/p>\n<p>6) they cause dullness;<\/p>\n<p>7) they are incompatible with clear rational thinking though it is not so obvious as when you are in the power of NEs.<\/p>\n<p>8) the similar \u201crobot likeness\u201d, easy predictability of reactions and behavior of a person experiencing PEs; the same ineffective activity;<\/p>\n<p>9) the wish of PEs is similar to the addiction to drugs, \u201cwithdrawals\u201d caused by their absence can be extremely painful and accompanied by NEs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Enlightened perceptions<\/b>\u201d (<b>EPs<\/b>) are the perceptions that designate the following words: affection, sense of beauty, aspiration, serenity, creativity, liking, delight, expectancy, anticipation and others. (see chapter \u201cList of EPs with descriptions).<\/p>\n<p>Differentiating characteristics of EPs:<\/p>\n<p>1) they can be differentiated only if their intensity is high enough \u2013 they are objectless, there is no feeling of \u201cpossession\u201d and \u201cdirection\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>If the feeling of affection is quite weak, you think you \u201cfeel affection for her\u201d, but if it is strong, especially ecstatic, then you realize that it is not \u201cyour\u201d or \u201cfor her\u201d, she is just an enlightened factor for the affection). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>2) any EP resonates other EPs;<\/p>\n<p>3) EPs are incompatible with distresses. The stronger the distresses, the weaker and rarer the EPs are.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Negative background<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>NB<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is a complex of low intensity NEs. It does not have highlights, it is protracted in time, and it can drag on hours, days, months, even life. It is hard to recognize separate NEs in the NB. Suppression of NEs (see below) intensifies NB.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Negative energetic state<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>NES<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is the complex of unpleasant [physical] senses that we generally call \u201cnot feeling well\u201d, listlessness, apathy, \u201cnothing-is-happening\u201d, \u201cheaviness in the body\u201d and so on.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>NES can also be perfectly eradicated as NEs. Techniques of NB eradication are most effective for the NES of similar character and NE eradication techniques are good for NES eradication of the same character). \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Negative attitude<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>NA<\/b>\u201d) &#8211; brief and weak flashes of aggressive NEs (dissatisfaction, irritation, aggression, contempt and so on).<\/p>\n<p>(<i>It is associated with a dense and boundless cloud of separate poisonous black insects, which is different from the association of NB with a dense layer of poisonous fog.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>A flash of NA can be caused by any perception, especially during some activities, when a person is among other people, due to the thoughts about the \u00a0people and contacts with them). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>4Ns<\/b>\u201d \u2013 NE, NES, NB, NA.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Offence<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is self-pity + aggression + revenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Bitchiness<\/b>\u201d &#8211; is FSI +aggression + malevolence + a wish to humiliate, to make somebody an object of derision, to punish.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Awareness<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a thought that:<\/p>\n<p>\u0430) intensifies rational clarity<\/p>\n<p>b) resonates EP-clarity<\/p>\n<p>c) resonates other EPs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Mechanical wish<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>mw<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is a wish that:<\/p>\n<p>\u0430) is caused by obtrusive thoughts-concepts, including word-parasites like \u201cmust\u201d, imperative phrases that generate such Frankenstein commands like \u201cI have to go there\u201d, \u201cI should do this\u201d, \u201cI would be good to do that\u201d, \u201cit is unfair not to do it\u201d and you go and do against your will, despite the lack of happy wish and experience NEs (dissatisfaction, self-pity), NES (tiredness, apathy), PEs (self-satisfaction, FSI), supporting other concepts (\u201cgood I have done it\u201d, this is right, this is how it should be\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>b) is caused by a NE (a wish to suppress dullness and boredom, to intensify irritation and NA) and a PE (a wish to experience FSI, self-satisfaction)<\/p>\n<p>c) is caused by a mechanical pattern \u2013 always, when you come home from work you turn on the TV, and even though you are not interested in the news you still watch it being in the power of dullness<\/p>\n<p>d) is caused by NES (you feel tired and you do not eradicate your tiredness but go to the sofa and surrender to it)<\/p>\n<p>e) is caused by other mw.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>The wish of possessing EP<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a mechanical wish to use EPs to realize other mechanical wishes (different from [happy] wish of EPs \u2013 wish to experience them right now).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Concept<\/b>\u201d \u2013 in science this word defines a relatively non-contradictory system of hypothesis and of interpretations of experimental data. In the context of the \u201cpractice of direct path\u201d (\u201cPDP\u201d) it is used to define a meaning it has acquired in conversational language \u2013 \u201cmechanically, i.e. thoughtlessly and blindly accepted statement or opinion\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Mechanical acceptance of concepts is caused by the influence of mechanical wishes, negative emotions (NEs) (e.g. feeling of inferiority (FOI), awkwardness, fear of negative attitude to yourself, fear of being isolated and others), thoughtlessly and without searching for reasons. I.e. the person believes the statement and continues to live as if this statement is unconditionally true and reasoned). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Distresses<\/b>\u201d \u2013 are NEs and PEs, [false] concepts and mechanical inner dialogue, negative senses (NES, obtrusive movements, \u201cnot feeling well\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Happy wish<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>hw<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is a wish resonating anticipation as minimum, enthusiasm, joyfulness, persistence.<\/p>\n<p>(There is a number of characteristics that differ a happy wish from a mechanical wish, e.g. if you did not manage to realize a hw, a NE does not appear, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Any wish is a wish of changing perceptions) <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Cyclone<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is such hws that:<\/p>\n<p>1) have intensity over 6 \u2013 7;<\/p>\n<p>2) are very stable and reveal for extremely long periods;<\/p>\n<p>3) are accompanied with anticipation and other EPs;<\/p>\n<p>4) are accompanied (at least from time to time) with \u201cphysical senses\u201d (PS) like \u201ctingling\u201d around belly-button, \u201cheat\u201d on the back, strong sensation of enjoyment in the throat, pressure in the centre of the forehead and so on;<\/p>\n<p>5) strong resonating with \u201cintensity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Task<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a persistent happy wish [to change perceptions].<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Resonating<\/b>\u201d &#8211; is intensifying distinctiveness and strength (or any other quality) of an EP when another EP or a perception that does not cause a distress appears (e.g. a perception of a tree).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Enlightened factor<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>EF<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is a perception that resonates anEP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Sincerity<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a happy wish to differentiate perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Self-cheating<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a mechanical wish to falsify [for yourself] the awareness of perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Deceit<\/b>\u201d &#8211; is a mechanical wish to falsify [for somebody else] recorded information about your perceptions<\/p>\n<p>(<i>If you pass a message that you are aware you \u201cdo not feel jealous\u201d but behave as a jealous person would, then I have reasons to make an assumption that you are self-cheating or you are deceitful). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Truthfulness<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a mechanical wish to suppress deceitfulness.<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201cConfidence [in the perception]\u201d \u2013 is a stable differentiation of a given perception.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Indirectly you can identify that a given perception is differentiated if you have a thought \u201cI differentiate [this group of perceptions]\u201d, \u201cthere is [this group of perceptions]\u201d, or if there is a recollection of a perception). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Recollection<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is any perception that is accompanied with a thought \u201cit was\u201d and a confidence about it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Recording in mind<\/b> (of a perception)\u201d \u2013 is a differentiation + the thought \u201cI differentiate this perception\u201d, \u201cthere is this perception\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Term<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a word that I use to identify a certain set of perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Remembering<\/b> [EP]\u201d \u2013 is a happy wish to experience EPs (hwEPs) that are revealed not as a onetime splash but are stable for some period. Correspondingly we can talk about more or less consolidated remembering and recording it in a percentage rate regarding time.<\/p>\n<p>(Please do not confuse hwEP with the thought \u201cI want to experience EPs\u201d! It takes a lot of training to achieve the art of differentiating).<\/p>\n<p>As long as remembering is a consolidated hw, it is not surprising that it leads to a significant increase of hwEPs and EPs intensity.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible to train yourself to accompany ANY activity, including intensive intellectual work, with the \u201cremembering\u201d, because remembering is not rational thinking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Practice of Direct Path<\/b>\u201d (\u201c<b>PDP<\/b>\u201d) \u2013 is a consecutive replacement of unwelcome perceptions with those you wish to experience. For this you have to have a happy wish of such a replacement and cultivate it firmly and persistently until a newly created pattern overpowers the previous one which has been once created mechanically. I call this path \u201cdirect\u201d because it requires one and only significant condition, and this is a happy wish to change the perceptions you have revealed on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Effort<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a concentrated and intensive happy wish [of substitution of an unwelcome perception with the one you want]. \u201c<b>Concentrated<\/b>\u201d \u2013 means chaotic diversions are weak.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>For example, \u201cmaking an effort of NEs eradication does not mean to strain your muscles, clench your teeth or breathe some specific way, it means to badly \u00a0wish to stop experiencing NEs, to have a strong desire of EPs and feel anticipation of the result achievement). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c[Welcome] <b>result<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is revealing the welcome perceptions on the completion of the efforts to achieve these perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Thus snouts agree to discuss the results only in the case of happy wishes. It is sensible for them because when we ask each other or ourselves about the results, we always mean only happy wishes, not mechanical wishes). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Failure<\/b>\u201d \u2013 there is no result and this fact is recorded.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Experience<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a complex of results and failures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Outcome<\/b>\u201d \u2013 revealing welcome perceptions that follow wishes (including mechanical) of these perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Thus it makes the \u201cresult\u201d and individual part of the \u201coutcome\u201d<\/i>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Consequences<\/b>\u201d \u2013 any revealed perceptions following the realization of the happy or mechanical wishes.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>Thus the result and the outcome become individual parts of consequences). <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Closely interconnected complex<\/b> [of perceptions]\u201d \u2013 is a group of perceptions that very often, nearly always, are revealed simultaneously or follow each other immediately (also often in a certain succession).<\/p>\n<p>(<i>For example \u201cmy girl-friend\u201d \u2013 is a closely interconnected complex as nearly always I perceive simultaneously or one after another perceptions that I call \u201cher face\u201d, \u201cher body\u201d, \u201cher voice\u201d, \u201cmeaning of her words\u201d and so on, and very often I perceive what I call \u201cher jacket\u201d, \u201cher caresses\u201d and so on).<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Segmented complex<\/b> [of perceptions]\u201d \u2013 is a group of perceptions that rarely reveal simultaneously or together or in a succession and it makes it not possible to discover any patterns of their emerging even if you analyze and observe them. An example of designating such complexes: \u201cconcourse of circumstances\u201d, \u201cchaotic stack of events\u201d, \u201cchaos\u201d, \u201cincomprehensible\u201d. \u00a0It\u2019s worth to mention that enlightened differentiating conscience and EP-Clarity remain outside the frames of this definition.<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201cAccompanying [perception or complex of perceptions] \u2013 is an element of closely interconnected complex of perceptions. The term is used to simplify speech structure.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>In everyday language the word \u201caccompany\u201d is used to define both closely interconnected (revolution is accompanied with bloodshed) and segmented complexes (earthquake was accompanied with rain). I use this word in PDP only for closely interconnected complexes. For EPs I use the term \u201cresonating\u201d. <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Pattern<\/b>\u201d \u2013 perceptions that are revealed during (or immediately upon the completion of) the definite course of other perceptions, and altogether they create a closely interconnected complex.<\/p>\n<p>E.g. \u2013 creating a pattern of eradicating irritation (at the moment of being irritated, of course) means to create a closely interconnected complex \u201cirritation \u2013 making the effort of eradicating the irritation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>In everyday language the word \u201cpattern\u201d also identifies some often revealed perception, like \u201che has a pattern of being irritated\u201d which means he is often irritated. Irritation is a part of a closely-interconnected complex of \u201cthis man\u201d).<\/i><\/p>\n<p>*) \u201cCultivation of EP\u201d \u2013 is the realization of efforts to increase the frequency, intensity and other qualities of a given EP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Person<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a closely-interconnected complex of perceptions including the 5 skandhas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Accord<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a closely-interconnected complex of EPs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Consistent goal<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is an intensive and stable happy wish that creates an accord with anticipation, persistence and seriousness (often other perceptions reveal). Other happy wishes decrease if they do not resonate with the consistent goal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Process<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is a group of subsequent perceptions (\u201csteps\u201d) that follow on and this group is differentiated as a closely-interconnected complex.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Step<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is an element of the process.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Subsequence<\/b> [of perceptions] \u2013 group of perceptions following each other.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Realization<\/b> [of a wish] (as a subsequence) \u2013 is a subsequence of perceptions that are accompanied with a wish of achieving an outcome if there is an assumption regarding those perceptions they can be completed with an outcome.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Action<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is an ingredient part of a wish realization.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Generating EP<\/b>\u201d \u2013 is the realization of an effort to achieve EP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*) \u201c<b>Process of NEs eradication<\/b>\u201d: consists of the following steps as a minimum:<\/p>\n<p>1) A very brief recording in the mind \u201cthere is a NE\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2) Happy wish to stop it<\/p>\n<p>3) Act of NE eradication (concentrated strong splash of the happy wish)<\/p>\n<p>4) Happy wish to experience EP<\/p>\n<p>5) An effort to generate EP (i.e. concentrated splash of happy wish of EP right now, \u201cjumping\u201d into the EP, \u201cremembering\u201d yourself in the EP).<\/p>\n<p>6) EPs revealing.<\/p>\n<p>The process of eradication can be considered finished only upon the completion of step 6.<\/p>\n<p>(<i>\u201cThe process of eradication takes place when the experience of NEs elimination is small or when the happy wish of NEs eradication overpowers the wish of NEs experiencing but only a little and not with very high intensity. In this case the replacement of the NE with EP requires time and you can distinctly identify all the steps listed above. But as for the psychological description of people, it has a huge number of the word-parasites, often up to 100%.
