Boredom, irritation, self-pity, resentment, aggressive and depressive states and so on are NE.

It’s very important to emphasize that NE are experienced only because of habit and hardly ever play minimally useful (mobilizing, reminding, sobering, motivating) role. Such a huge amount of permanent NE tremendously influences one’s psyche in a degenerating, poisoning and suppressing way. Likewise, it has a devastating influence on our immune system eventually forming no less deadly analog of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with time.

1 – b) The freedom from NE and their deadly consequences is possible. NE are not essential parts of our psyche, and step by step we can train and learn to weaken and lessen them. We can also weaken the actual habit of reacting with NE. There won’t be an immediate result, because the negative background (NB) is kind of multi-layered, it consists of weak NE that are spread over time and it is always fueled by new splashes of NE. It takes time to eradicate any kind of habit, especially the one which can be compared to drug addiction, since experiencing NE comes with an emission of specific biologically active substances.

1 – c) The training consists of eliminating NE and cultivation of pleasant perceptions and states (i.e. «enlightened perceptions» – EP).
Elimination of NE is taking efforts in removing attention from NE and refocusing it on EP like anticipation, liking, love, feeling of mystery, feeling of beauty, creative feelings, etc. Cultivating EP includes both focusing on spontaneous EP and repetitive and concentrated generation of EP using resonating thoughts, images, desires.
It’s crucial to distinguish eliminating NE from suppressing NE. After elimination, you actually stop feeling these NE and start experiencing distinct EP. While suppressing NE you go on with experiencing NE, lying to yourself that they’re not here anymore. Training in distinguishing your perceptions and training in sincerity help to draw a clear distinction between elimination and suppression.

Your first efforts of eliminating NE may bring a very small effect since the habit of experiencing them is entrenched.

1 – d) Eliminating of NE increases your ability to respond adequately because NE won’t influence your ability to think clearly in a destructive way anymore.

1 – e) Experiencing NE instantly leads to lowering the level of life saturation, creative states, enjoyment of life and thirst for life itself. Experiencing EP leads to the opposite effect.

>> 2 <<
2 – a) People hold on to dogmatism and dullness almost all the time. Pretty often they are not even aware of the fact they hardly ever think and mostly they only juggle with dogmas, prejudices, and stereotypes.

2 – b) The skill of thinking clearly can be also acquired through systematic training.
It’s necessary to learn to be guided by logic, resting upon your experience and educated guess, taking into consideration expert’s opinion (but without trusting them blindly). It’s necessary to learn not to suppress your reasoning if the results of clear thinking contradict your beliefs and common views.

2 – c) Clear thinking accompanies with specific enjoyment, creates a strong rational basement in your life and resonates with EP.

2 – d) Clear thinking develops a flexible mindset which can be renewed and adjusted depending on the new arguments and/or new information. This fundamental flexibility lets one rid of fear to learn new facts/arguments, it fuels creative instincts and search activity.

>> 3 <<
3 – a) There are two types of wishes.
Joyful wishes (JW) are always accompanied by anticipation. Experiencing and realizing of JW resonates with EP, increases life interestingness, energy, creative states, search activity.
Mechanical wishes (MW) don’t just lack these features, but also they are accompanied by splashes of NE (and/or increasing of background NE).

3 – b) MW result from dogmas and prejudices. Along with NE they have an immense degrading effect on human’s psyche.
MW are sustained by mental constructions like “I have to”, “I must”, “it’s ought to do that” and similar imperatives. Efforts to consider these imperatives and to check if they make sense will be suppressed by fears and NE.

3 – c) JW result from human’s aspiration for pleasure, from a development of interests and striving for creating pleasant internal and external environment, and from experiencing EP as well. Along with EP and clear thinking, JW provide a developing effect on our psyche, increasing the volume of pleasant states.
JW are sustained by mental constructions like “I want”, “that’s interesting”, “can’t wait”, and other constructions that don’t feature neither intimidating nor obligatory statements.

>> 4 <<
4 – a) There are negative physical sensations (NS) and states that result from a prolonged cultivation of dullness, NE, and MW. These are physical inertia, background fatigue, flabbiness, tiredness, etc.
There are also enlightened [physical] sensations (ES) that resonate with EP and JW. These are physical alertness, freshness, many kinds of physical delight (including those that appear and last as a background, for no obvious reason) and others.

4 – b) The work against NS and for EP cultivation can be done both through a direct effort of getting over NS and generating EP, and by the cultivation of JW, EP, and clear thinking.

4 – c) Realization of JW that relate to physical activity contributes to EP cultivation as well. MW realization contributes to NS in long term.

>> 5 <<
5 – a) The process of working on the four above-mentioned types of perceptions (emotions, thoughts, wishes, sensations) associates with a vital experience of distinguishing experienced perceptions (and states that consist of perceptions). The distinguishing of perceptions itself resonates with EP and is a significant evolutionary factor.

5 – b) It’s necessary to distinguish between thoughts and certainties. A certainty is a completely rigid system of attitudes towards something that is not actually a thought, but it can be expressed with thoughts. A certainty can easily co-exist with thoughts that contradict to it (that leads to cognitive dissonance which may result in stress and frustration, as well as in creative states).

5 – c) Destructive certainties are fueled by dogmas, dullness, and NE; they compromise the ability to experience JW and the aspiration itself towards JW and their realization. Also, they lead to a dramatic and fatal decline in levels of life saturation/interestingness and energy.
Enlightened certainties (EC) are certainties that lead to a diametrically opposite effect.

5 – d) It’s advisable to make your certainties evident and detect them by writing them down as thoughts. You can test their quality by checking if they increase your life saturation and energy or decrease them. If they resonate with EP or cause NE.
Destructive certainties should be undermined by clear thinking and EP/JW cultivation that comes along with EC cultivation.

>> 6 <<
6 – a) Creation of a full, interesting, energetic life must be done as a background in all the main directions (MD) which are most important directions for developing and transforming the psyche. Creating a strong financial foundation, creating a nice social environment, getting new impressions, just having fun are among others MD, apart from the MD I mentioned before. If on neglecting some MD you start feeling dissatisfied with your life, start feeling like life is kind of slipping away from you, this direction can be considered one of the mains.

6 – b) There are no and there can’t be any schedules or plans controlling JW realization. On the contrary, schedules or plans can only be made as a supportive means for JW realization.
The only criterion of your MD not being developed enough is your feeling of a shortage of impressions in this MD, your feeling of life kind of slipping away from you when you think about this shortage. In this case, it’s advisable to devote some attention to your JW in this MD, to search for destructive factors that hold you back (dogmas, destructive certainties, NE, etc.).

6 – с) Every MD is divided into tactical directions (TD). For example, financial MD can consist of such TD as opening a business, acquiring new skills, getting a profession, etc.
Every TD is divided into smaller specific directions (SD). For instance, “opening a business” TD can consist of the following SD: reading books about marketing, searching for business ideas, searching for a business partner, etc.

>> 7 <<
The “basalt” state is a state that includes the feeling of high saturation/interestingness of your life and the feeling of energy.
There are lots of basalt isomorphs, like “olivine” (basalt + physical delight), “chrysolite” (basalt + rapture), “labradorite” (basalt + aspiration), “regolith” (basalt + serenity). Basalt (or any of its isomorphs) is the basic state for starting a psychic and physical evolution, so it’s reasonable to take efforts to make this state appear more frequently and be more intense and finally become a background.
Basalt appears spontaneously as a result of the cultivation of EP, JW, clear thinking (CT), ES and perceptions distinguishing. After that, you can maintain it by just focusing on it.

>> 8 <<
8 – a) In the process of psychic evolution one discovers new spheres of perceptions which he has not had any idea about. This, in turn, leads to an intensification of basalt and overwhelming enrichment and deepening of psychic life, thus forming a positive feedback.

8 – b) It’s reasonable to name new pleasant/attractive perceptions with resonating terms, describe them, trying to distinguish their characteristics and distinctive features, observe the way they interact with other perceptions. That activity ties your attention to new perceptions making them more stable and helping them to appear spontaneously. This is called “new perceptions integration” and is an element of the evolution of a human being.

8 – c) Discovery and exploration of new perceptions, integration of them into my personality, new discoveries, and new explorations, evolution of my personality that accompanies all the above-mentioned – is an extraordinary startling, fascinating and reviving activity. It’s an adventure of consciousness where every human being is a discoverer because he discovers astonishing perceptions which he has not had any idea about. It’s deepening and broadening of human psyche beyond all the limits. It’s new opportunities and new vast horizons in psychic (and physical?) Homo sapiens evolution.

>> 9 <<
9 – a) Everything I’ve described above is an initial stage of human’s conscious evolution.

9 – b) It’s necessary to be aware of the fact that you’re not a highly-developed personality at the moment, so it’s reasonable to apply perseverance and determination while practicing these techniques despite temporal regressions, throwbacks, mistakes, dead ends, and other complicated and/or destructive states.

9 – c) The intensity of feeling of “basalt” is the main criterion for the success of your life activity.

…………………………

Like many other authors, I surely believe I’ve created something extremely interesting and significant – I mean my 20-years experience of perceptions exploration and the discoveries that are described in my “The Selection of Attractive Perceptions” book.

I think I have the right to believe it because the “Selection” is extremely valuable for at least one person’s life (mine:), and now an absolutely boundless field of exploration unfolds before me, as well as the field of integration of new perceptions, of which I had no idea before and of which I had never found any information neither from people, nor from books.

Search and exploring of new perceptions and states, observing my evolution that accompanies it makes the meaning and the purpose of my life, therefore normally I’m quite boring in communication.

Since these new perceptions are real in the same way other psychic phenomena are real for us, I’m not interested in, and I don’t have time for proving anything to those who’re not interested in the “Selection” and who prefer theorizing to acting.
